Microsoft testing blue light reduction feature for Windows 10

Microsoft is slowly revealing new features in the next major update to Windows 10, and the reduction function appears blue light could be a future addition. The software giant has released a new version of Windows 10 testers yesterday with little visible additions, but Windows enthusiasts have already started to take apart for clues about the new features. Twitter user "Core" discovered references to a "BlueLightReduction" depth adjustment in the next major update to Windows 10 (with the code name of Redstone 2). It seems to be a Center Action switching adjustment (notification center) in the operating system.

F.lux was the most popular choice for Windows users looking to reduce the blue light in the evening, but Microsoft leverage native own bring this functionality to all users of Windows 10. Apple also incorporated a similar feature in iOS 9, but has not announced its intention to reduce the blue light for Mac OS yet. Microsoft just seems to be testing the functionality at this time, so there is no guarantee that struck update the market expected early next year. If Microsoft does what fully implemented, it will probably be available in the mobile version of Windows 10, too.
